Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 2020 Kia Soul S features a 2L I-4 DOHC engine with D-CVVT variable valve control, generating 147HP. Power is managed through an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) paired with Front Wheel Drive, delivering an EPA-estimated 29 city MPG and 35 highway MPG. The powertrain relies on a spark ignition system, aluminum cylinder head, and aluminum engine block, complemented by an Idle Stop & Go auto stop-start engine system for enhanced efficiency. For tailored throttle response, the driver can utilize Drive Mode Select to adapt performance to changing road conditions. Ride quality is supported by an independent front strut suspension and a semi-independent rear torsion beam suspension with gas-pressurized shock absorbers. Front and rear coil springs ensure a smooth feel over varied pavement, while all-speed ABS and driveline traction control maintain steady tracking.

Technology & Connectivity

Inside the cabin, the 2020 Kia Soul S puts modern convenience right at your fingertips. The center dash hosts a 7-inch primary display touchscreen that seamlessly integrates with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto smart device mirroring, giving you effortless control over navigation, media, and messaging. Handsfree Bluetooth device connectivity and wireless audio streaming deliver clear sound through a 6-speaker audio system. Safety and driver assistance technology is equally well-represented, featuring Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Blind Spot Collision Warning with Lane Change Assist. Reversing into tight parking spots is simple with the exterior parking camera rear and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist (RCCA).
